OUR HISTORY

The Tourism and Convention Consortium – Gulf of Poets and the Greater Ligurian-Apuan Area was founded around 20 years ago with the aim of enhancing and promoting the remarkable tourism resources of this unique region. Initially, the focus was more on promoting the Gulf of Poets, with particular attention to the hotel sector.

Over the years, the Consortium has experienced periods of growth and slowdown, but today it finds itself in a strategic position to consolidate its identity and strengthen its role in the tourism sector.

COLLABORATIONS AND SYNERGIES

The Gulf of Poets Consortium operates through a strategy based on collaboration and synergistic development, involving tourism operators, public institutions, and private enterprises in the sector.

Key collaborations include:

• Meet in Liguria → We actively participate in this project aimed at promoting both leisure and business tourism (MICE – Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions). This allows us to offer tailored solutions for events and conferences in Liguria, supporting a coordinated promotion of the regional offer.
• Liguria Together → This partnership enables us to collaborate with the region’s top tourism operators, participate in trade shows, and expand our network. It represents a key opportunity to promote Liguria’s tourism offering on both national and international levels.
• Regione Liguria and the “In Liguria” Regional Agency → Public-private collaboration is one of our key strengths, allowing us to develop innovative and sustainable initiatives for tourism promotion.
• European projects and regional funding → Our legal structure allows us to actively participate in funding calls to develop new initiatives.
• Funded training (Fondo For.Te.) → Through this program, our members can access professional development paths to improve both their own skills and those of their staff, enhancing the quality of the services offered.
